Sensory Supportive Training
Importance of Sensory Supportive Training & Certification
Everyone deserves fun outings! Our Sensory SupportiveĀ® program helps businesses like parks. stores, restaurants, police/fire stations, and arenas (among others) create inviting spaces for people with unique needs, like autism, ADHD, age/illness related issues, or difficulty with mobility. Quiet areas, clear signs, and ramps make everyone feel safe and included.
Our Story
Families cherish moments spent together at fun places like museums, parks, or stores, creating
lasting memories through shared experiences. These community activities, whether exploring a
new exhibit or enjoying a meal, foster stronger bonds. However, for some families, these
outings can present challenges. Individuals with unique needs, often stemming from conditions
such as autism, ADHD, or dyslexia, may experience sensory input like sounds, lights, or
conversations differently, making these environments difficult to navigate.
Our mission is to create “Sensory Supportive” spacesāenvironments that embrace everyone by
prioritizing safety, comfort, and inclusion. The Baker Street Cares Sensory Supportive
certification program guides businesses, including stores, restaurants, and museums, in
transforming their spaces to better accommodate all individuals, regardless of their needs.
This certification program offers significant advantages to businesses. Earning our Sensory
Supportive certification demonstrates a commitment to customer well-being, fostering positive
word-of-mouth, encouraging favorable reviews, and promoting repeat visits. Furthermore, staff
members will take pride in working for an organization that values inclusivity, leading to a more
rewarding work experience.
